I am trying to get SKSE to work properly on my game so I can use the Race Menu and SkyUI but I can't find the TESV.exe file to run it. I can run the game just fine.
0xc000007b error most commonly occurs when xinput13.dll file becomes corrupted or overwritten with another version which happens to be incompatible with some games or applications. This happens very commonly, especially with 32-bit version of DirectX games, and usually gets repaired after. But before going through a little bit complicated DirectX reinstallation process, you should try to repair xinput13.dll file by replacing it with an appropriate version. This is 100% safe and secure method and it’s proved to be the most effective way of fixing 0xc000007b error.
Follow these steps: 1 Download 32-bit file 2 Extract file using archiver or 3 Right-click on extracted xinput13.dll file and choose Copy 4 Navigate to C: Windows SysWOW64, right click inside the folder and choose Paste. If Copy File dialog prompts, choose Copy and Replace Note: although it isn’t essential part of OS, you might want to backup your original xinput13.dll file and restore it later, if this method doesn’t help you solving 0xc000007b error. Proceed to the next page to see Method 2 SELECT PAGE 2.
HOW TO USE IT 1. Make sure you have SKSE installed. Install my patch (by running it, double-clicking it's EXE file).
WHAT IT DOES This patch allows you to run Skyrim+SKSE: - from your regular Desktop shortcut - from Skyrim Launcher - from Steam client - or even starting TESV.exe directly - SKSE-made shortcut will work as well:) HOW IT WORKS When you run this patch: - it extracts its own version of TESV.exe, which not only starts SKSE, but also hides its ugly command line window - right before extracting its own file, renames official TESV.exe to TESVoriginal.exe - it edits or creates from scratch an INI file (SKSE.ini), which tells SKSE to work on TESVoriginal.exe instead of TESV.exe WHY IT'S SO AWESOME 1. Because this patch will work with any version of SKSE, including those yet to come 2. Because it doesn't conflict with mods, that use their own SKSE.ini file, since it edits the file, instead of placing a new one 3. In case of new Skyrim version you only have to run the patch again 4. If you overwrite SKSE.ini with some mods or new SKSE version, executing patch again will solve the problem 5.
Although this patch is written in English, it will work with any language version of the game CHANGELOG v1.1 - Added 1 check to make everything even more idiot-proof.
